Home  Remedy for Plantar Fasciitis

Usually with plantar fasciitis, a high amount of pain is present right after getting up int the morning. This is because there is a tightening of the plantar fascia which happens while you are asleep. Try this….right before getting out of bed, stretch or massage the area. This will reduce the pain. You can do this by flexing your foot up and down a few times before standing up.

Below are 3 plantar fasciitis exercises you can do everyday to soothe the pain. You should plan to perform each plantar fasciitis exercise 2 or 3 times everyday.

1) Ball Roll: Take a baseball or tennis ball and sit on a chair. Then place the ball underneath the ball of your foot and while sitting roll the ball with your arch of your foot. Eventually, you should aim to be able to do this exercise standing up.

2) Towel Pull: Take a normal bath towel and roll it up. Then place the rolled towel below the arch of your foot and hold each end with each hand. Carefully pull the towel towards you and keep your knees straight. Hold the position for 20 seconds and repeat this exercise 3 more times.

3) Wall Stretch: Stand against a wall with your hands on the wall (parallel to the wall). Put the leg you need to stretch behind the other leg. Keeping your heel on the floor, bend the knee closest to the wall until you feel the back leg stretching. Hold the position for 20 seconds and repeat 3 more times.

Above are just a few great plantar fasciitis exercises which could help treat your condition. With proper steps, plantar fasciitis is very manageable and should not cause any daily discomfort.
